Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from that provider, and we store your profile image and the sign-in tokens the provider issues. We do not receive or store your password for those providers.
• Usage information. The YouTube URLs you submit on the site or through the browser extension; public details we retrieve about each video, such as its title, channel, thumbnail, length, and caption languages; the transcript; the summary language you choose; the generated summary; and a record of each request, such as its status, time, and credits used.
• Signed-out use. If you try the Service without signing in, the request and its summary are still stored, but they are not linked to an account. To limit abuse, we keep a hashed form of your IP address in rate-limit counters that are cleared periodically.
• Billing information. If you subscribe to a credit pack, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store your full card number or other sensitive payment data on our systems; we retain a Stripe customer reference, your purchase records, and your credit balance or plan status.
• Pay-per-request payments. Software agents can pay per request in USDC on the Base network, without an account. For those requests we store the paying wallet address, the transaction reference, and the request it paid for. Payments on a public blockchain are visible to anyone and cannot be deleted by us.
• Technical information. Basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type, used for security, authentication, and operating the Service. We count product events, such as a summary being started, in our own database without attaching your account or IP address.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To authenticate you and keep your account and data secure.
• To generate, store, and display your video summaries and usage history.
• To process credit purchases and maintain your credit balance.
• To communicate with you about your account, including service-related notices.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their functions:

• Authentication providers (Google, GitHub) for sign-in.
• Stripe for payment processing and subscription management.
• A payment facilitator operated by Coinbase, which verifies and settles pay-per-request USDC payments.
• YouTube. Our server requests each video’s captions and public details from YouTube. That request may pass through a network proxy provider. It identifies the video, not your account.
• Anthropic. We send the transcript text and the summary language to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the summary. We do not include your name, email address, or account identifier in that request.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Transcripts and summaries are stored by video, not by person. If someone else requests a video that was already summarized, they may receive the stored summary. The stored copy does not show who requested it first.

We do not use your submissions or summaries to train AI models ourselves. Anthropic handles what we send under its own commercial terms and privacy policy, which govern how it retains and uses that content.

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We do not currently delete videos, transcripts, summaries, or request history on a fixed schedule. You can export your history from your settings, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Stored transcripts and summaries that are not linked to you may remain, because other requests for the same video rely on them. We may retain certain information where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You can also stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
