Terms of Service

Sumvid lets you submit YouTube video links and receive AI-generated summaries. Summaries are produced by automated models and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They are provided for convenience and should not be relied upon as a substitute for the original content or for professional advice. Check the original video before relying on a summary for an important decision.

A summary does not give you any rights in the underlying video or its transcript. Whether a summary can be produced depends on the source, such as whether the video has captions we can retrieve, and on third-party services including YouTube and our AI provider, any of which can change or become unavailable. To avoid repeating work, we may reuse the stored transcript and summary of a video when someone else requests the same video.

You must sign in through a supported provider (Google or GitHub) to use most features. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the security of the account you use to sign in. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to infringe intellectual property or other rights, or to process content you do not have the right to access.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of the terms of YouTube or any third-party provider.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

New summaries and translations use prepaid credits. Current packs and prices appear on our pricing page. Purchases are one-time payments through Stripe, with no automatic renewal. Credits do not expire.

You confirm a credit allowance before starting work. Cached summaries are free to read. Failed jobs release reserved credits. Future purchases use the prices shown at checkout.

Software agents can instead pay per request in USDC on the Base network, without an account. The price is quoted before payment, and a request is charged only if it succeeds. By paying for a request, the agent’s operator agrees to these Terms.

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Telep IO LLC and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Summaries generated for you are yours to use, subject to the rights of the underlying content owners.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that summaries will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Telep IO LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Ohio.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
